RBI UDGAM — unclaimed deposits search
Run by Reserve Bank of India
- What it covers
- Unclaimed deposits that have been transferred to the RBI's Depositor Education and Awareness (DEA) Fund, across participating banks, for both individual and non-individual account holders.
- How the claim works
- Register on the portal with your name and mobile number, then search. UDGAM shows you WHICH bank holds the deposit — the RBI's own FAQ states that unclaimed deposits "can be claimed only from the respective bank". UDGAM then gives you that bank's claim process.
Source: Official RBI portal. The RBI's own published FAQ describes UDGAM as "an online portal developed by RBI" and notes that as of 4 March 2024, 30 banks covering around 90% of unclaimed deposits by value were on the portal.
